Our latest project is born in the canyon of river Burbia between Corull\u00f3n and Otero where vineyards have a slope steeper than in any other area in Bierzo. Our vineyard in A Freita, with 66% slope and slate soils presents a truly challenging terrain to fam, but also a pure and heroic settlement where vines have grown or centuries and speak about terroir above all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A field blend of Menc\u00eda and Palomino from vines planted in 1910 that defy the harshest conditions to express minerality and lightness alongside the floral combination of the two main varieties in Bierzo century-old vineyards.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab<\/em>With a 66% degree slope and slate soils, this tiny, high-altitude vineyard between Corull\u00f3n and Otero is a truly difficult terrain but produces this wonderful Menc\u00eda with a touch of Palomino, Godello and Merenzao. Fermented in stainless steel followed by a year in 500L used French oak, it shows a defined mountain freshness. Raspberry, sour cherry and pomegranate fruit aromas combine with cola and liquorice, leading to a steely, herbal palate with remarkable drive. Light on its feet yet powerful, this wine speaks to the extremes of its origins.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n
