- Sites: Las Gundiñas and Valdeobispo
- Field blned of Mencía with minor addition of Palomino, Doña Blanca and Godello
- Soils: Clay with some sand, rolling sotiones and quartzite
- Elevation: 525-575 m.
- Spontaneous fermentation in 5000 litre oak vats. Partial use of whole cluster. Aged in oak vats and used 225 and 500 litre French oak barrels. Coupage of different vineyards after 12 month aging period.

Tasting Notes Villafranca 2022
Medium-high layer with a burgundy bright colour. This village wine balances between its fruity character and the complexity and the structure from the old vineyards it comes from. Red fruits, spices and forest notes over a well integrated oak make a round and long wine , with Bierzo freshness despite 2022 being a warm vintage. Evolves very well once open adding nuances of dried flowers and sapidity.
A very gastronomic wine that represents the identity of the century old vineyards of Villafranca. Truly enjoyable, balanced and with great aging capacity.
